4th Grade Orientation/Lunch and Parent Meeting: TONIGHT, May 17, 4:00.
Collision Activities Nights: Thursdays through June in the Surline Middle School gymnasium for 5th through 8th graders from 6:30-8 p.m. sponsored by Faith Alive Church. Contact Pastor Jeff Westheim at 345-5440/820-9964 with any questions.
Found: Cash found yesterday – identify at office to claim. We also had a house key turned in that was attached to a combination lock shaped like a volleyball that someone may need to get home tonight, earrings and cell phones.
Lost white sweatshirt that says Aeropostle-if found, please return to office.
Library books: As an incentive to have all library books returned and outstanding book fines paid in full, we are offering a special treat to the first class that does so. Please look in your lockers, under your beds, in those closets, and around the house for any misplaced books. They are your responsibility! Also, empty those piggy banks and take care of any outstanding lost book fines today! Let’s start your next school year with a clean slate.
Bus Passes: If you are going to need a bus pass to go to someone else’s house, please make sure that when your parent calls or sends a note that it includes the name of the student you’re riding with or whose house you’re going to and their address and phone number. If you are unsure if bus service is available to a certain address, your parents can call the bus garage at 343-2240 to get bus slot number.
Lunches: Make sure you have enough money on your lunch account because no more charges are being allowed for the remainder of the school year.
Water Safety Aides: Reminder for:
Kelly Gildner who should report tomorrow by 9:10 to Mrs. Matthew’s room and
Spencer Withers and Conner Gough who should report by 12:10 to Mrs. Crawford’s room.
Please bring all necessary items. If you need an elementary school map, stop in the counseling center to pick one up.
There is not much more Walking Club left for the year. Please note the follows dates we have left, which are not always the "normal" walking days:
Fri., 5/18--7th & 8th grades (and final day)
5K Walk-Run: SolesForCardio Saturday, May 19th, at 2:30. Stop by the office for an informational flyer if interested.
Student Council: Next meetings May 23rd, June 6th
Memorial Day: No school on Monday, May 28.
Spring Band Concert: May 30th at 6:00 p.m. at Ogemaw Heights gymnasium. Band students report at 5:15.
8th Graders: If your parent missed the high school meeting, they may still pick up copies of the power point presentation from our office.
Awards Day/Talent Show: Friday, June 1st.
Last day of school: Students released at 12:40 on Friday, June 8th. Breakfast only served this day, no lunches.
FREE/REDUCED APPLICATIONS. Any family that has had a change in income: you can fill out a new form for this school year. They are available at each school or contact the Food Service Dept. at 989-343-2015 and we will send one to you. Lunch Menu 4/13-20/12
